It has been quite the debate, but after ten years of research, it has been shown that drinking a glass of red wine each day will not only provide you with relaxation, but can also provide some great health benefits as well. Because of antioxidants that are present in the skins and the seeds of the grapes, red drinks have a specific positive effect on heart health. With a little education about red grapes and what to drink, you can further understand how it could benefit your health to have a drink each day.

Flavanoids

Flavanoids are the antioxidants in red grapes. They have been known to decrease the chances that someone will have coronary heart disease. There are three ways that they do this. The highest ranking red that had the highest concentration of flavanoids was the California Cabernet Sauvignon. Petit Syrah and Pinot Noir, and Merlot Wines also have high concentrations of flavanoids. In conclusion to the study, researchers stated that dry red wine is the best as far as flavanoid count goes.
